Tutoring

Our students do not have the luxury of attending office hours, and often do not even have time to study with each other. To provide a space for study and quiet discussion, PTI runs a tutoring program at Garden State and Albert C. Wagner Youth Correctional Facilities on Friday evenings. Many students think of this as a highlight of the program. Any given day at tutoring might feature special reading groups, performances, poetry readings, and intense intellectual discussion -- as well as work on problem-sets and papers. Tutors include PTI instructors, Princeton undergraduates who work with the Petey Greene Program, tutors from the Princeton University Writing Center, and community volunteers.
